REVIEWS

Molly – “Loved this album. Actually brought me back to watching movies, games and video on TV when I was younger. I really remember The Changingman being a big deal. I can still see the music video in my head. It’s a great tune.
Best song on the album is a toss up between You Do Something To Me and Broken Stones. I could listen to them all week on their own . He is a class act. Great choice!”

Sol – “Enjoyed that album. I’ve actually never really listened to him properly. I can definitely hear the influences he had on Ocean Colour Scene. Without doubt my fav song is You Do Something To Me, one of my fav songs of all time. After that it’s The Changingman and loved Brand New Start.”

Spud – “No surprises that I loved listening to Modern Classics this week. How could you not love it!? Also no surprises with my favorite song, The Changingman. Impossible to critique a greatest hits from one of the greatest. Can we just listen to Weller every week, and call the group Weller Nights?”

Mick – “Was kinda surprised at how little I knew of this to be honest, but the plus side was like finding a new gem.
Agree with Sol – I think Ocean Colour Scene had a major Weller horn. Brushed and Peacock Suit had a very similar guitar sound-wise and Wild Woods has the lovely folk element to it. No wonder Craddock tours with Weller.
Few of my favourites are Hung Up and Sunflower, but favourite by a country mile is Brand New Start – what a song that is, absolute cracker!”
